Thanks for the website. I just got my webtv and the first thing I looked for was a M*A*S*H* site. It is my favorite show .I don't know where you are or what kind of cable you have but where I am we have a channel called FX and they show episodes of M*A*S H* at least 10 times per day, which for a M*A*S*H*aholic like me is still not enough.

Loved M*A*S*H* since I was very young, and of course love the book, first, and the movie, second. I think that the initial sitcom was excellent, until Blake left (and died), and Trapper left, and, finally, Frank Burns. Then, things got way too serious s Hot Lips wasn't really hot lips anymore, and the show went to hell, ironically, under the direction of the way to politically interested Alan Alda (who I admire, by the way, but didn't admire the way in which he used the show to communicate such a clear y political agenday). I think the older shows communicated much the same in a much more subtle and, thus, more effective way. Anyway, just wanted to say hello. Wonderful page you've got here! My folks have recently started watching and really getting hooked on the MASH episodes. First time I have heard that my step dad has kept in on one channel for 30 minutes as he is a clicking fool. I have shared info from this site with them as they do not have a computer. I agree. This show was without peer for the first 2 seasons-- or up until Blake was killed off and Trapper left. It was the best sit-com on TV, EVER... up until then. It started to go sour when Mike Farrell (who's politics I love but he's just not funny) and Winchester were added. Harry Morgan is not funny. Some of the shows right after Blake and Trapper left are still really good-- but they lost their best writers and then Alan Alda decided he could be a director (he isn't). They turned Radar from a somewhat cool, small-town punk, into a whining wussy and Houlihan into "one of the guys". Simply, the show went on for too many seasons. I think the REAL beginning of the end is when Burns left and they replaced him w/Winchester. The jokes got really stale and you could see that Alda's heart was not into the project anymore. This show was SUPERB-- for the first three years.

If you really think about it the TV series M*A*S*H tells a story about what had actually happen thats part of history, the Korean war. And how each doctor and nurse delt with their emotions. This may have taken place in the 1950's. But there are a lot of eople out there who wish they had the same kind of attitude towards life. And that's what makes M*A*S*H so special. Cause many people now days take it for granted. Thats the reason I think a lot of people who weren't even born at the time M*A*S*H was air till watch it is because they need something other than violence to get a better look at life. M*A*S*H is my favorite show of all time. I started collecting the Columbia House tapes and I am up to number 47. Unfortunately, I read on the Internet that in Canada Columbia House only has 50 videos. I don't know what I will do as I will not have the hole collection and I don't see it on television too often. I wish more channels would show the reruns of such a great show. I was so glad to see there are other people just as interested in M*A*S*H as I am. Thank you.

When I was in college (1980), I could watch M*A*S*H every weekday at 5:30, 6:30, 7:00, 7:30 and 11:00pm on different cable channels. I can't imagine there's an episode I haven't seen. The editing of the syndicated episodes is maddening. I wish I could et VHS copies of all the episodes (uncut) without paying thousands of dollars to Columbia House. Any ideas?? Your site is great. I haven't been able to figure out how to play the audio clips. I click on them, wait for them to load, then press the play utton and nothing happens. Thanks !!

I have never been a fan of TV sitcoms, but MASH was an exception. The quality of this show was so much higher than the other trash out there that I became hooked towards the end of the seventies. The cast seem like old friends. I miss them.

Thank you for a wonderful site. I continue to be an advid M*A*S*H fan and it was nice to see where the actors are now. It was my understanding the McLean Stevenson left the show because the working conditions were unacceptable to him such as the sanitar conditions of the bathrooms, the set etc. Further, I understand they killed Henry off at the last minute and gave the cast the last scene only 15 minutes before it was shot. There was a technically problem and they had to do the scene over but the cast members were feeling real emotion about losing their friend McLean when shooting that scene. I was surprised you didn't mention this in the biography section of him. Henry was undoubtedly one of my favorite characters on this show. I was also very impressed with the fact that you knew Trapper John's wife's name. It is only mentioned once, in the show where he was going to adopt a small Korean boy. Good work!! (I frequently use that as a question when someone tells me they are a M*A*S*H fan). It separates the 'officers' from the 'enlisted' men if you catch my drift. The later years of the show are probably my weakest area but I would pit my knowledge against anyone any day (probably except for you!!), for the most part. Thanks again for a wonderful site. I plan on visiting it often to keep up with the quote of the day. If you feel so inclined, try me out and give me a teaser via e-mail. Hi, this is the best site ever. M*A*S*H is a big part of my life. I was born in 1983(the final year) but I have watched almost every episode. This is the 3 time M*A*S*H has been send on norwegian television. The first time I watched this show was when I was about 8 years old. When they started to send it again this year I was in heaven. It brought back good old memories. Yesterday ( 6 October 1998 ) they send the last episode with Radar. It was so sad that I almost began cry. Its almost impossible to have a favourite character in this show, but I am really found in BJ, Frank and Radar. Well, thanks for a great page, and for the guays who created this lovely sitcom. Love the site! I've been having a great time this week. Here in Phoenix the TV station FX just started airing back to back episodes of M.A.S.H. at 2pm everyday! Another local station also has an episode every weekday at 6:30pm. So I'm in M.A.S.H. heav n. Keep up the good work.

I would love to get my hands on a copy of the last MASH episode...the one where Hawkeye is in the nut house. I used to have it on tape, but someone erased it. I have been a lover of MASH for 14 years now, which is odd. They were making those episodes before I was even born!

I love this page- did you know (i'm sure you did) that FX channel showed "Goodbye, Farewell, and Amen" Sunday eve? They also showed the special w/ Shelley Long- lucky for me I found out about 20 mins before showtime and got them on tape- cool!
