True! I had forgotten that Potter said that. Frank was better than not having enough help.

I often wondered what happened to Frank, and to the others after the characters left Korea. We only know about Potter, Klinger, Mulcahy and for an episode or two, Radar thanks to AFTERMASH. I would speculate that Frank was just as incompetent and insufferable as a Lt. Col. as he was as a Major.
