Toilet Plungers

Would MASHs ever need a toilet plunger?

Hawk was presented with one when he was made Chief of Staff. And Frank pulled one from his holster during 5 O'Clock Charlie...although his was a small plunger...more like a sink plunger.

Now I could see a sink plunger being possible since they had sinks. But that toilet plunger has always bothered me...lol.

We all have our things

It's funny that the plunger bothered you, but we all have our own pet peeves and the like. One of mine is what I call the East Tennessee guess-where-I'm-going driving game; in this game, a nearby driver doesn't bother with turn signals or any other indication and you are supposed to guess where he/she is going - could be straight, right, left, backwards even. Drives me nuts.

Now to your question - would a MASH need a toilet plunger? Not to unclog a toilet. But perhaps there are other creative uses, like maybe pulling a dent out of an ambulance.

I wonder if plungers are on Eldon Quick's basic equipment list for MASHes. You know, those BELs that do NOT include incubators.

They have large sinks and they clog. Big industrial sinks need large plungers to clear clogs. I speak from experience from many years at food services and restaurants.

Good answers...so the motor pool might've had a plunger for dents and the kitchen/laundry may have had one for large sinks.

Aren't turn signals extra on vehicles in the East Tennessee area? We have a similar game in Eastern Kentucky. When you are sitting at a red light and it turns green, you look both ways before pulling out to make sure someone isn't running the red light.
