Listening to a M*A*S*H Matters podcast where they interviewed Kelleye, she had said there was talk about adding her name to the opening credits had there been a season 12. I'm wondering if this is true and if they might have also added G.W. Bailey's or Jeff Maxwell's names. To me Igor was funny but did not have as much of an impact as Rizzo did.

I don't think they would have done that unless some of the other opening-credited cast members left; it was already a lot of names to list, and I doubt they would have sped up the intro (the way a lot of shows do faster name listing these days). Haven't heard/seen much talk about a potential 12th season before. Everyone seems to just mention the show drying up a bit around S9/10, and the 11th season sounds like it was improbable. What else did they say about potentially keeping it going?

saying that on that episode. I got the impression that they had to be forced into a season 11. Kellye would have made the most sense to me of the existing characters to get credited. I hate to say it though, but if they were serious about getting her credited, why wait till season 12? I have a feeling that if they were crediting a nurse character to be a foil for Margaret or a love interest for Charles or Hawkeye, it would have been a new character.
