The Officers Club history

I'm going off of memory, so forgive if some details are incorrect. I happened to see "Officers Only" and thought this would be a good board topic.
In "The Moon is not Blue" General Rothaker asks Colonel Potter why the officers' club is there. In "Officers Only" the officers' club is given to the 4077th as a gift from General Mitchell for taking care of his son.

Was Colonel Potter's lack of explanation due to missing continuity from the writers or not being told by Hawkeye, Margaret, Frank, Radar, Klinger, Mulcahy, Igor, Kellye, or Goldman? (My money's on the writers)

Where did the Clyde Kusatsu bartender character go? Was he a "special services personnel," that Rothaker required? (My guess is he left to be recycled as other characters later on; he could have been a special services hiree; he didn't have a military uniform, but I can't imagine a male Korean of that age wouldn't have been drafted - maybe I'm thinking too hard on this one)

This has nothing to do with this topic, but I use "Frankenheimer" on another message board (a sports one, so few, if any, would understand).

I mean, obviously Potter wasn't around when the Officer's Club was installed, and I'm guessing nobody in the camp ever told him about how they got it to begin with.

I often wondered about this too...
