Margaret's father

Hi everyone what is your favourite inconsistency with this show? For me it is when Margaret Houlihan gets drunk and tries to transfer to a different unit. She tells Col. Henry Blake that he looked like her father "before he died". Several seasons later in an episode called Father's Day her father is miraculously resurrected and comes to visit the 4077th !

Hawkeye's mother and sister

They were alive in season 1 - gone afterwards. They must've run off with Chuck Cunningham.

Hawkeye's Mom being alive the first 3 Seasons then dead from Season 4 thru the rest of the series. He states at one point he is an only child then suddenly in a later season has a sister again. Henry's son being born in the first season then in Season 3 he is in elementary school.

I love this one as well. Potter helped him realize that his daughter is vital, and reluctantly, he admits that he admires her.

The entire camp enjoys a steak dinner after he leaves.

It's funny how this is always called an inconsistency. It might well be. But remember that Margaret was very drunk/hung over when she said it, and had just had another drink. So it could've easily been just Margaret being drunk when she said it. She did say it rather loosely, and was barely able to even talk.

How about in season 4, Potter had a son and daughter-in-law that gave him a granddaughter. Then in any following episode, he had a daughter and son-in-law who gave him a grandson. And even if you think he had two children, he even says in season 10 he only has the one daughter. I mean.... what?

During Operation Noselift...Blake says we've have the Blob and the Thing at the movies in one week. The Blob didn't come out until 1958. And though the Thing for Another World come out in April 1951...I'm still thinking that this must be a little later then the Operation Noselift episode timeline...but if not...what are the chances of a MASH would get a just released film?
