Asked before

Would you accept a reboot of Mash the TV series or movie? I'd rather if it was ever rebooted that it was the movie as i don't have the same attachment to it as i do the series.

Like you, Becca, I've never been big on the movie so I might accept a reboot of it, but probably not. Given the track records of reboots of recent, and even some of the reboots that were eventually abandoned, like "Murder She Wrote", no way we can accept a reboot of M*A*S*H.

HOGAN'S HEROES is getting a movie reboot; one of the co-creators bought back the rights to the show and its properties a few years ago (this is the same guy who also produced THE GODFATHER and co-created WALKER, TEXAS RANGER) and plans on making a movie. The last I heard, Fred Armisen from SNL is being considered for LeBeau.

I'd give a TV reboot a shot, but I wouldn't lobby for it. Doubtful they could capture the magic of the TV series.
The movie was OK but nothing I would wish for a remake. Again, I would probably go see it. I think it would have a better chance of being better than the original.

Another asked before: Has anyone done a fan fiction where Hawkeye left and it was Trapper, B.J., and Frank with Potter in command?
