Is It True

I read several years ago on this board that one of the suggested plot lines for G.F.A was to have Henry show up alive and part of a prisoner of war exchange. I do not recall if it was true or not. Anyone know?

just a rumor....

That's the first time I've heard this.

Very strange thing to have as a rumor.

I never heard of this, nor have I ever read it on this board . . . when was this?

I know some fans have suggested the idea that GFA should have had a spectral image of Henry's spirit make an appearance, or show some of the other stateside characters (Trapper, Frank, Radar) learn of the news of the war's end back home, but never anything like this.

I read it on here about 6 or 7 years ago from a reliable poster who left the board. I asked the poster if it was true and i do not recall their answer. The thought came to me the other day when i found my copy of the complete book of mash.

Never heard that but wow that could have been a very feasible story line! Another story line I thought that might have been feasible was to discover that it was Colonel Flagg who filed a false report about Henry's plane being shot down because Flagg was a lunatic and had a vendetta against Henry it seemed. This was evidenced both by his threatening Henry with the info Flagg had about Henry staying at a hotel with another woman and also when Flagg barked at Potter "Make a decision...now! The last C.O. they had here couldn't make a decision without a week's notice."
