I'm Mad at Jeeter and Dani Now...

Well, okay, not them specifically, more like Canada in general for hogging that jet stream, and keeping all of the appropo winter weather to themselves, while we're stuck in an unusual spring-like pattern down here!

I'm sure Miss Ginger is having it worse right now, considering she's even further south than I am, but I mean to say, it was 71F/21C today, it's supposed to be even warmer tomorrow, and on top of that, so far the futurecast says that it won't dip back down to close to normal till next week... then, the icing on the cake: apparently, this spring-like pattern is supposed to continue through January, then it will won't get cold until February.

I'm feeling REALLY deprived right now! Again, I'm sure Miss Ginger has it worse, but it's muggy and humid here for most of the year: like from April (some of March, occasionally) through October... November through February (if we don't get an early spring, unlike the last two years) is when we get relief from that kind of climate, but we hardly had a fall or a winter last year, and to have a repeat of it again this year, only worse... yeah, I'm REALLY in a bad mood right now... to think, here it is December, here it is winter, here it is the Christmas season, and I'm having to walk around in t-shirts and shorts! I miss my pants, I miss my sweaters, I miss my flannel jammies, I miss the crisp, clean, and refreshing winter air...

I'm in the Florida panhandle, about one hour from Miss Ginger. The weather down here was been upper 70's to 80 degrees lately and will continue for the next week. It is sunny with no humidity, and to me, is simply ideal. It is warm enough in the day to wear shorts, but when the sun goes down at 5:30, it cools enough so you can wear long pants and/or a sweatshirt.

I am loving this December warmup. I know exactly where you are coming from because my wife tells me the same exact thing. But I will take this weather any time, any day and relish not worrying about snow/ice any more.

That kind of talk just makes me even madder. :P

This afternoon I had to scrape freezing rain off the windshield of the van which I shouldn't even be driving because the cold weather has messed up my car's fuel-line/intake system and on top of that I happen to be cute as hell! I mean, whoa, a M*A*S*H line came to my head there. Clearly I need to start watching M*A*S*H again because my brain is sending me urgent rest telegrams... *facepalm* I did it again! I meant to say, my brain is sending me signals to watch M*A*S*H more! There we go.

On top of that, the roads are icy, the sidewalks are icy, I have a hole in my shoe and I'm getting my socks wet all the time.

This warm spell is very disconcerting. I'm sure Zelmo is loving it coming from a cold climate. Big Daddy wants to be a snow-bird. He'd be happy living in Fargo, ND. I just want some December like weather to come in...not freezing just more seasonal.

Jeeter, you poor dear. I'll email you some warm socks right away along with a platic bag to stop up the hole in that shoe.

Miss Ginger

P.S. yes, Jeeter, you are cute as hell!

Yes, Jeeter has such a pretty face, he should be on a Christmas card. Oh wait... wrong movie... ><

But now Miss Ginger's put ideas into my head, I think it'd be pretty cool to be a snow bird...

I live in Oregon where we have been experiencing above average rain fall and only one or two dry days a week. I would enjoy being where its warmer though i can't imagine christmas time without the rain or sometimes snow that we get.

Michigan here. We have snow on the ground this morning, but not as much as usual for this time of year.

Well in New York right now it is 30 degreese and snowing but the snow doesn't seem to sticking as it's been snowing all day and we've got nothing to show for it.

I swear, stuff is already blooming. I ain't lying, little wild flowers have already bloomed, some of the foliage is already turning that early spring lime-green color that I hate so much, it's terrible...

Actually Big Daddy it's been quite a mild winter here in Toronto so far. There were a few times this week I was able to go for a walk with only a light jacket. I was hoping for a white Christmas this year since we didn't get any snow in December last year but it looks like it's not going to happen. Meanwhile, in Northern Ontario where my new sister-in-law's parents live it's a snowy wonderland.

then never ever live here!

our weather here in Va has to be somewhat desired. one day its cold as a 'witches thorax' and others its far into the other extreme. and always inappropriate for our season.
one thing youd love here is you get the cold temps and blustery winds but never EVER does it snow here. ice, only if it rained then froze over night. we get tiny amounts of rain. even the last two hurricanes didnt really wet our appetites much. and they went right over head.
it has something to do with the mtns to the west. they block 99% of what comes from the west. nothing ever comes from the north. and usually anything coming out of the gulf (the south) is supposed to have moisture with it. it drops before it ever gets here! and we all know weather doesnt travel from the east.
one thing that kills me is sunlight. here is the only place on the planet the sun shines constantly. i hate it! never a cloudy day. never overcast. always freaking beach weather around here and that just sucks! id give anything for 3 cloudy days in a row @ 65f! or, if someone would just shoot that thing outta the sky, id be very happy!! its 2 days before xmas, SUNNY, about 49ish, and once again, no chance of a white xmas. just like every year before this one! BAH-HUMBUG!
