My First Earthquake

Around noon today, I experienced my first earthquake. We've supposedly had earthquakes around here before, however, I never felt anything, but that was a different story today, I felt it for sure this time... very wobbly situation, that's the only way I can describe it, it's like all of the sudden, the walls and floors and everything turned into jell-o and started wobbling.

Interestingly enough, this earthquake apparently came all the way down from Kentucky, so I'm assuming Allie had something to do with this.

my first aswell

almost two years ago now i was in the range of the one in Va. WOW! ofcourse, quakes dont happen here at all. only thing that rattles our windows, foundations and walls is the artillery at quantico. (there have some neat boom booms!)

my quake was a total different experience in that you said yours came down from kentucky. i live only 30 miles from the center. nothing wobbled here nor turned to jello. and i was waiting to see it too!

the place shook but at a high frequency. very fast vibrations. like standing on one of those old toy football games. sounded and felt just like that.

not a powerful one i think, which only fuels my curiosity to see a higher rated quake (i know, go to cali right?). i was sleeping when it hit. woke me up and right onto the floor i jumped. i was dazed but waking up quickly.

i thought a huge heavy semi was barrelling through my neighborhood. then i realized what it was but couldnt believe it. thats why i wanted to see the walls shake and stuff so id know for sure. then it was over. just like that.

glad to see we both made it thru! was a wild experience for me.

PEACE!!!!
