MajorWinchester View Profile Posted: 1/29/2012 10:58:49 AM	Taking Fic Requests! Hello everyone, I am taking all types of M*A*S*H fanfic requests. I am happy to write anything you want including slash and femslash along with any topics that would likely get you flamed if you honestly want to read that type of fic. Nothing squicks me so if there is any kind of M*A*S*H fic you have always wanted to read but were afraid to ask for now is your chance. No topic is taboo. I took a look at the fanlore page and it seems that slash fics and the like are not welcome here. That is ok as I will be keeping my fics on LJ. I always give a summary along with warnings for any given fic before the story so no one has to worry about clicking around and comming across something that might offend them. If the owner of this site would like to include any of my fics on this sites archive I have no problem with that as long as I am given credit as the writer. If you don't have an exact prompt in mind that is ok. Just mention what you would like in general. What characters would you like to read about? Do you want a romantic story or a general story? Do you want to see the characters do anything specific in the story such as working in the OR, working out a personal problem, maybe BJ going fishing ect? You don't have to be specific. Just include as much as you feel vital to the type of story you would like to read. I am not sure if this site has a private message system but if it does feel free to request via private message. I accept annonymous requests. I am not out to make waves here so if you don't like what someone else has requested just ignore it and play nice. No beating of the drama llama pinata please and thank you. With that said let's see those requests! P.S. - Before anyone asks my stories to write are anything with Winchester and I am fond of the Charles/Margaret pairing.

I both read and write fanfiction stories. There is also another related word, 'beta', that is someone who reads over your fanfics and corrects mistakes and suggests changes in the story in order to strengthen your work and help you produce the best fanfiction possible for your readers.

Ohhhhhh,. . . thanks MajorWinchester! I myself like to write about the characters of MASH! When I first discovered MASH, Hawkeye's Crabapple Cove was my dream place. I saw an episode where Hawkeye got real sentimental and soft and cute and spoke about Crabapple Cove, and I wrote a poem about him and I walking the beach at dawn. I also wrote a long "short story" about him and I (I being a nurse that he loved) and how we went home after the war to his home in Maine and lived a fairy-tale life on the beach with his Father. . . and I still dream from time to time when I read that story. :)

It is usually easier for writers to write about the characters. It is alot harder to create and bring to life your own characters and even harder to add yourself to the story. Your purpose for writing is very interesting as well. You write to bring your dreams to life and to record them. Both are excellent reasons to write. I would write about my dreams but somehow I don't think shopping at the dollar store for yellow daffodils and peppermint Christmas tree decoration bouquets for $10 each along with running from a crazy man who is supposed to be your husband who looks like Jack Davenport and being given a huge cantaloupe to eat as a wedding present before running through the mall and buying clothing to disguise yourself are the things good fanfiction is made of! XD I write to entertain my readers and to fill my urge to create things that others can enjoy.

I actually filled your request and I was getting ready to spell check it and my cat knocked my laptop and broke the hard drive. I sent it in for repairs and I'm hoping they can just pop it back in somehow but the odds are they will likely clean my hard drive which means the fic is lost as I had not posted it anywhere. However I will rewrite this fic and hopefully have it up in the near future as I believe I still have the written notes for it tucked away somewhere.

Thats why I write everything I care about on plain paper and put it in my big notebook. I don't trust technology. <3

I don't trust technology. <3 I always write down my outline and all of the little ideas that pop into my head. I just made the mistake of typing up my fics and not spell checking them and putting them up ASAP on multiple sites. Lesson learned. I usually have about twenty pages of notes per chapter and when you write several fics it turns into quite a bit of paper to keep ahold of after awhile. I won't be making that mistake again. I know some of you are probably thinking 20 pages of notes is excessive and a waste of trees but I not only rewrite outlines to include all of my little thoughts and ideas but I also take and rewrite my fics several times over in different words because it is one of the best techniques when it comes to writing witty banter type fics. Refining your dialogue and removing things that are not needed results in better fics. While it is a waste of trees it is not a waste of time.

Ofcourse, if we had CHARLES performing autopsies on certain cadavers such as MRS. DEAGLE of KINGSTON FALLS after the gremlins killed her, well, that's one autopsy that CHARLES performs while smiling?
