MASH dreams

Has anyone ever had any MASH-related dreams (whether it be about the characters, a certain episode or war in general)? I've had dreams about almost every character except BJ and Henry from some reason. And I remember the night after I saw "The Bus" (4x06) I had a weird dream that I was driving a trailer in the middle of the night and got lost in the woods. Fitting, since that was a rather dark and creepy episode.

Anyone else like to share?

As a matter of fact, I don't believe I've ever had too many MASH-related dreams... I can remember three distinctively...

1. I was in (a modern-day) hospital for some unknown reason, and it turns out the operating surgeon is Hawkeye, and his nursing assistant is Margaret.

2. I'm really grateful for this dream... it's almost like a "deleted scene" from GFA - just after Hawkeye calms down when Sidney tells him "Now, we're halfway home", Hawkeye stands up, looks out the window, and begins a 70s-esque show-stopping number. Although I rarely do so (and I really should more often), as soon as I woke up, I wrote down the lyrics to the song, and it will be used as a song for one of my puppet characters who is an aspiring singer-songwriter.

3. I have no idea WHY I had this dream, but it involved Radar being captured, not by Chinese or North Koreans but by crazed American soldiers, who do... unspeakable things to him... O.O

Ironically, even though I dislike the show so much, I HAVE had quite a few Hogan's Heroes dreams... most of them usually involve Hogan and Newkirk dragging me down into the tunnels to give me the third degree about hating the show, but I've had others... one involved myself and Heroes and something about "climate control", then there's been a couple where Kinchloe and I are buddies... it was probably just the hat, lol.

That was an interesting post BD...to say the least. Unfortunately, I have never had one before. :/

This isn't dream-related, but it IS sleep related, and it's really quite funny...

So one night I was having a little insomnia (which I have from time to time), so I took an ambien to help me get to sleep; so while I'm waiting to doze off, I turn on some M*A*S*H... and let me tell ya... under the effects of ambien, and watching M*A*S*H, somehow seeing Klinger run around in dresses seemed so RIGHT, LMAO!

The only way I can go right to slepp is with an Ambien and MASH going, its wierd any other show I cant resist turning around and watching, but MASH I guess cause I seen them all so many times, I can take an AMbien and just concentrate on the show's audio and go right to slepp

I have a similar guilty pleasure... maybe once a month or so, I'll treat myself to an ambien, and then put on a Sesame Street tape I've had since I was a baby about... bedtime stories and songs, lol.

Now last now, while not MASH-related, I had a slightly Seinfeld-related dream... I have a really good friend who works for Avon, and in the dream, she had mailed my mom some products, so we went to the post office to pick up the packages, but I guess Newman was going through one of his crazy/evil phases, because he absolutely refused us the right to pick up the packages.

I fall asleep to MASH every night.... Too many years of shiftwork make me a little dependant on Trazadone. 1 Trazadone + 1 episode of MASH + sleep timer = sweet dreams

Ahhh....so I am not the only one who does this! Even though I work regular office hours (8am-4:30pm), I usually settle down with a few episodes of M*A*S*H every night. I do prefer the later seasons where the "play all" option was included. I started doing this almost 30 years ago when I used to tape episodes on my cassette recorder and listen to them at night. Thank goodness for DVD's...and sleep timers. LOL

I, too, watch Mash when i go to sleep. But there are some episodes i wont watch, simply because they have actually made me have some pretty freaky dreams. The standard Mash dream I've had is just working along side the 4077th with the usual - bombs falling all around, losing a patient in the OR, being over run by the enemy etc.
One of the freakiest dreams i have had, occured after watching the episode dreams (funnily enough) and it was like a mix of Klinger's dream and Hawkeye's dream in the show. It was not a good dream!

Even better than DVD players are media streamers. I have all Seasons ripped to my home server and can access any or all of them in a matter of seconds...it is a beautiful thing for MASH junkies.

I had one last night; Hawkeye was cracking jokes in the O.R. and, as usual, Frank was getting annoyed. Colonel Potter steps in as tells them to shut up with their "childlike behaviour and tomfoolery". I remember it was the angriest I've ever seen or heard him (and I've seen all the "angry Potter" episodes). Weird eh?

I had a dream once where I got to be on an episode MASH. It was really cool. I was one of the nurses whom Hawkeye fell in love with and couldn't have for one reason or another. I had another dream where I attended a baseball game with the MASH characters. :D

Last night I dreamt I was chatting with David Ogden Stiers... I don't remember much of what we talked about, I just remember while he wasn't snooty and snobby like Charles, he DID have a little bit of Charles-esque mannerisms (like correcting me when I made a mistake).

Now Bill Christopher popped up in my dreams last night... why, I don't know... I think I was watching something with him in it or something.

I had a dream about a week ago involving me, Hawkeye, Trapper and the basketball net in the middle of the camp. I don't remember many details although I do remember waking up with a smile on my face :D

Maybe you smiled because you beat "Hoops" Potter's record of 32 consecutive shots?

Nah, I already beat that record in reality when I was 14. I was a superb basketball player back then, much like Mulcahy's sister (the Sister). :)

Last night, I dreamt that I was with the gang, the truck we were in broke down, in the middle of the night: we all got out to check what was wrong with the engine, except for Margaret, who sat in the passenger seat looking she was loosing patience with all of us, and Frank, who was fast asleep in the driver's seat.

Margaret's not supposed to be there!! (if your dream was relating to "The Bus") Looks like someone has a crush :P

No, it wasn't the bus, it was a supply truck, and everyone was there: Hawk, Beej, Potter, Radar, Klinger, Mulcahy, even Goldman and Zale.

And besides, Major Houlihan ain't my type :P

I probablly said this before, but last summer I had a series of recurring dreams that I was literally IN M*A*S*H and me and Hawkeye got married.....wonderful, but peculiar XD

So I had my first "M*A*S*H" dream two days ago. I forgot most of it but here goes.

I was walking down this hallway towards these large doors. I walked by a group of people and I realized that one of them was Alan Alda. I didn't take much notice so I just kept walking past. BUT SUDDENLY....

ALAN TOOK HIS ARM AND SWUNG IT AROUND MY SHOULDER AND SAID "HEY ______! NICE TO MEET YOU!" I knew it was because I sent him a letter before (that was how I got the autograph). Anyways, he took me into the room alone (creepy, I know) and he started talking to me about life. I don't remember anything about the conversation but all I know is, that's as close as I am gonna get to meeting him. So I guess it wasn't entirely M*A*S*H related, but still...

I've been doing an MA and been working on my disseratation. Of course when I've not been doing that I've watching M*A*S*H.

A couple of weeks ago I dreamt I gave my dissertation to Hawkeye to read through and instead he ate it.

I also dreamt that Major Houlihan was on the programme "Who Do You Think you Are?" and it was Houlihan and not Swit who was the subject.

I THINK I had a dream last night where Charles woke me up... I don't remember clearly, I just seem to remember feeling a tap on my shoulder, rolling over, and seeing Charles giving me that look he gives Hawkeye and B.J. whenever they try to razz him.
