Don't go away, M*A*S*H will be right back

Didn't Harry Morgan do this as a voice-over during the latter years of the show? This was usually before the final scene I think. Anyone else remember this? I wish the DVDs still had that.

I only remember that in syndication.

I don't remember, nor would I want it on the DVD. I like how there is just a quick fade to black to replace the commercial breaks. It helps you forget you are watching a TV show.

I only seem to remember it on CBS, and not in syndication, but it was Harry Morgan wasn't it?

The Biography special that aired on A&E, and is a special feature on the GFA set features clips like these...

One has Alan Alda, as Hawkeye sitting on a table in the Mess Tent, telling the audience "try the laughing cure here at the 4077th, fun is still our best prescription for making it through the craziness". The next is Harry Morgan, like you said, at Potter's desk saying "Don't miss M*A*S*H... that's an order!" The last is of Radar at the communication center, looking up at the camera and saying "See ya next time!"

I have one of these "bumpers" at my website:

It's the second video. Listening to it now it does sound an awful lot like Harry Morgan. I had assumed it was a generic announcer. Interesting.
