Although funny, I thought nobody caring about Frank's birthday was a little TOO heartless, so since Father Mulcahy was in the Mess Tent at the same time, here's how I think it should have been...
FRANK: *Takes a seat* Soldier, I'm confiscating this tapioca!
IGOR: I wouldn't do that if I were you, sir.
FRANK: Don't threaten me! *Takes a bite* Mmm! With raisins!
IGOR: No, sir... flies...
*Hawkeye and B.J. break into laughter, as Frank grimmaces and drops his spoon back into the bowl*
FRANK: Some birthday this turned out to be.
B.J.: Why Frank, you didn't tell us it was your birthday.
FRANK: It's not important, what's the difference, nobody cares.
B.J.: Oh, you're being too hard on yourself Frank... here, I'll prove it to you *Stands up* Everybody, guess what? Today's Major Burns's birthday!
*Silence. Cut to a tight shot of Mulcahy, as he observes the silence*
MULCAHY: Happy birthday, Major! *Raises coffee mug*
FRANK: *Dejectedly* Thank you Father...
HAWKEYE: See Frank? They're delighted!
FRANK: Birthdays are hell.
HAWKEYE: So are wars Frank, but we keep on celebrating them every year.
FRANK: Well who cares about war? This REALLY hurts! *Walks away*
HAWKEYE: Maybe we should take up a collection and get him a gift.
B.J.: What can you buy for a dime?
IGOR: Maybe you can find somethin' at the dime store.
HAWKEYE: He's such a hard man to buy for.
Truly fascinating.
Keep up the good work.
Just want to know how you feel towards CHARLES EMERSON WINCHESTER, III. performing the autopsy on MRS. DEAGLE of KINGSTON FALLS?
If you don't know about KINGSTON FALLS, well, wait for a few months, and read "RADAR VS. THE GREMLINS".
