As the hand plays out, he says he has 2 pair "bullets and Jacks". Bullets are Aces. Hawkeye's 3 of a kind (in this case it happened to be three 3's) beat Zale's 2 pair. Why did Zale stay pat? Why didn't he discard his one bad card and try to draw to a Full House?
