Loretta Swit and Jamie Farr are Going to be in My Town for a Convention This Summer!!

This is assuming it doesn't end up being post-poned, or even outright canceled because of the coronavirus, but I'm really excited about this; I conquered my irrational phobia of cons a few years ago, so I am definitely going to try to get out there this summer and meet both of them!

That would be amazing. Hard to fathom Jamie is now in his mid 80s!

As it turned out, this never happened, since the convention for that year ended up becing canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic being in its early stages, and lockdowns were far more stingent than they are now.

However, it wound seem that this year, they're giving it another go, and not only will Loretta Swit and Jamie Farr be in attendance, but Jeff Maxwell is scheduled to appear as well. I am going to do my best to try to meet them!

My only quibble is this convention will be right dead in the middle of summer, and summer here in TN is brutal (often rising well over 90 degrees some days, and the humidity is even worse) . . . if the convention was at a later date (last year, it was Halloween weekend) when the weather would be much cooler, I'd show up not only in my Radar hat, but also my sweater that they often wore in the winter episodes.

Either way, I'm really looking forward to this!

You know when?

I saw through FB and from Jeff Maxwell's podcast that they were in Indy this weekend (or last weekend?) at some sort of convention. And this podcast episode is with Jeff and Loretta and Jamie from the convention.

Anyway, I'd appreciate a name or website or whatever for the convention. I might make a trip down there.

Appreciate it

Saw that there's a couple Little House on the Prairie stars there, too. Might be able to get the wife to go for them.

One other thing I will say though is that if this con was being held later in the year when the weather would be cooler (last year's con was held on Halloween weekend), I would go all out and dress up in total MASH garb: fatigues, and even the sweater that I have. But in August, right in the dead of summer, when it's not uncommon for it to climb over 90 degrees (WITH high humidity to boot), that would be out of the question with me. If it's below 90, I may wear one of my many M*A*S*H t-shirts, but if it is 90 or above, a Hawaiian shirt will be in order.

No matter what though, I WILL be wearing my Radar cap.

Since this forum has a character limit on posts, and we aren't able to embed images, I'm going to have to link my review of my experience at the Fanboy Expo from the other M*A*S*H where I could go into more detail about everything.

As I said, it did leave me wanting more, but aside from that, yet, it was definitely something I could scratch off my bucket list: MEETING KLINGER!!
